In 2025, Genoa hosted 3,715 congresses, conventions, and meetings, according to the Italian Congress and Event Observatory (OICE) – Genoa Municipality Focus, promoted by Federcongressi&eventi and produced by ASERI – Università Cattolica.

An even more significant figure when read in the national context: while Italy as a whole is slowing down, Genoa is growing by double digits across both indicators.
Furthermore, the conference sector generates 26.9% of the attendance recorded in the city's hotel accommodation establishments, confirming how much the sector is a concrete engine for the local economy – not only for event operators, but for the entire hospitality industry and related services.
